Skerryvore Light

By the naked eye at sea level on Tiree, Skerryvore light is little more than a pin on the horizon. This telephoto shot from Beinn Hough 10 miles distant shows the full 46m of the structure and a small portion of the extensive reef it oversees. In stormy conditions even with the naked eye you can see huge white rollers thundering over the reef and breaking on the lighthouse.
